Job Responsibilities

As a warehouse employee at Martin & Servera's warehouse in Umeå, your job will primarily consist of order picking. This means it is your responsibility to use a forklift to pick orders from cages and pallets, and then compile them for delivery. We pick food products, ranging from soda cases to vegetables. The work takes place at room temperature as well as in cold storage at approx. +4°C. Freezer conditions (-25°C) may also occur.

To thrive in your upcoming tasks, it is important that you have a good ability to work efficiently and that you have a flexible attitude. We would also like you to have an eye for detail and enjoy working independently. The job requires a high degree of personal responsibility to ensure that the customers you pick for receive exactly what was ordered.

Working Hours and Other Info

Working hours are primarily scheduled on weekdays, and working hours vary between day and evening shifts with start times at 07:00 and 11:00.

Since you commit to being available for work week after week, this role works excellently in combination with a primary occupation.

For this position, we see that you want and can work approximately 2–3 weekdays per week during the school terms. We also have a high demand on Fridays during the week and would appreciate it if you could work then.

A prerequisite for employment is that you can work full-time during the summer period, weeks 26–33.

The service starts in week 20 and week 21.

The position starts with a two-week paid training at Martin & Servera, which includes a forklift license if you do not already have one. The training takes place during daytime 07:00–16:00, Monday–Friday.

Personal Qualities

For us to work well together, we look for someone with a good and positive attitude towards work and a good attitude towards others. As an order picker, you must be driven and have the ability to maintain pace and focus at all times. Great attention to detail is required as a picking error has direct consequences for our customers.

We view this as a long-term part-time job, and therefore we look for someone who wants and can work alongside their primary occupation for a longer period.

You should be in good physical shape as the work involves heavy lifting and takes place at a high tempo.

Requirements
  • To be employed in this position, you must have another primary occupation of at least 50%. You will need to provide proof of your primary occupation before any employment for this position.

  • Since security reviews, safety regulations, and workplace introductions are conducted in Swedish, you must be proficient in the Swedish language.
