Do you want to work close to control systems, sensors, and real flight physics – and at the same time help shape the technology for future flight platforms? We are now looking for a Hardware Systems Engineer where you will become part of a newly formed team developing new solutions at the absolute forefront of technology!

About the role

As a Hardware Systems Engineer, you work in the area focused on control systems and primary data for future flight platforms – both unmanned and manned. The area includes, among other things, sensors for air pressure, speed, angle of attack, acceleration, and aircraft orientation, as well as how this data is used to control flight in a safe and robust manner.

In this role, you are responsible for realizing functional requirements in physical hardware. This means you work on developing and interpreting technical requirements, writing specifications for suppliers, and evaluating and analyzing incoming solution proposals. Much of the work takes place in close dialogue with external suppliers of, for example, electronic, mechanical, or hydraulic components.

You also contribute to ensuring that the hardware solutions meet requirements related to environment, temperature, vibrations, and operational reliability, and that they function as part of the whole in the control system. The role involves close collaboration with both software and simulation/modeling engineers, where the hardware needs to be understood, modeled, and verified in simulations before the system is advanced.

You will become part of a newly formed team that you will build from the ground up together. The work suits you if you like working at a high pace, with quick decisions and great opportunities to influence both technical solutions and how the work is organized going forward!

Your profile

To thrive in this role, we see that you are a person who enjoys delving into complex problems and working systematically towards clear goals. You have an analytical way of thinking and like to understand how things really fit together.

At the same time, you are independent and proactive. You take responsibility for your work, dare to make decisions, and can see for yourself what is most important to focus on here and now. Since the work takes place in a dynamic context with rapid reprioritizations, you are flexible and thrive in environments where the pace is sometimes high.

You are also a team player. You enjoy collaborating, sharing your knowledge, and contributing to an open and non-hierarchical culture where people help each other succeed. Attention to detail and quality are natural to you, especially since the systems you work with place high demands on reliability and safety.

In short, we are looking for you who combine technical depth with curiosity, responsibility, and a positive way of working together with others!

Requirements for the position:

  • Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Mechatronics/Hydraulics/Technical Physics/Equivalent
  • Similar work experience
  • Fluent in Swedish and English

Merits for the position:

  • Experience with control systems or primary data related to sensors
  • Understanding of technical systems and how hardware realizes functional requirements

The assignment is classified. Prior to employment, you are required to undergo a security clearance and be approved according to current security protection regulations. This may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
