About the Role

In this role, you will work with all of Midsona's prioritized categories and clearly drive category issues both internally and in customer meetings. As a Category Manager at Midsona, you will have a key role in developing and driving the company's category work forward.

You are responsible for turning insights and data into long-term strategies and concrete activities that create profitable growth, strengthen market position, and contribute to developing both local and global category plans.

The role is both strategic and operational and involves close collaboration with both the sales organization and external customers and internal global teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement category and innovation strategies that drive profitable growth
  • Be responsible for local category goals linked to sales and profitability
  • Create annual category activation plans based on customer insights, category, and brand strategy
  • Analyze sales, shopper, and consumer data to identify growth opportunities
  • Turn insights into concrete strategies and activities that drive category development and shopper behavior
  • Support the sales team in customer dialogues and category presentations, as well as collaborate with customers' category managers
  • Contribute insights to strategies and pricing, and conduct store tests and shopper surveys
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external business partners and follow up on plans and results

Experience and Qualifications

We are looking for a person who is curious, courageous, and has gravitas in how they approach both analysis and business. The role involves many contact surfaces and high expectations from different parts of the organization, which requires a good understanding of your own role, your mandate, and your ultimate responsibility for category issues within the organization.

We also see that you have a strong sales-oriented ability, where you can quickly read needs in customer dialogues with Key Account Managers and customers and adapt your message accordingly. You thrive in customer meetings and have the ability to turn insights into clear, convincing, and business-driving recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Sales and/or marketing education
  • At least 3 years of experience in FMCG
  • Experience working with large amounts of data
  • Fluent in English and Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Good knowledge of the Office package

Preferred:

  • University degree in a relevant field
  • Experience with Nielsen
