to apply for the job
We are now looking for an experienced .NET developer to join HSB, who wants to help improve the daily lives of a million residents in Sweden. Here you will work on solutions that make a real difference – in an organization that combines long-term sustainability, social benefit, and modern technology.
A Day in the Job
As a developer at HSB, you are close to the code and build systems that are smart, sustainable, and understandable – solutions that are easy to comprehend, further develop, and maintain.
You are part of a team consisting of other developers and consultants where you collaborate closely, share knowledge, and solve technical challenges with a focus on quality and long-term sustainability. Initiative, curiosity, and the desire to contribute to better working methods and solutions are highly valued here.
You work in close collaboration with architects and other developers within the organization, becoming part of HSB’s developer community within Tech & Architecture – where common patterns are discussed, improvements are driven, and experiences are shared between teams.
As part of Digitalization & IT, you participate in one of HSB’s prioritized initiatives. Projects vary over time, giving you the opportunity to broaden your skills and work with different parts of the business.
HSB is a secure employer with an entrepreneurial spirit and over one million customers. The combination of stability and freedom creates good conditions for both professional development and work-life balance.
Our Technical Landscape
HSB’s environment is in an exciting position between a bank and a startup in terms of complexity.
- Most microservices are modern, written in C#/.NET, and hosted in Azure/Kubernetes.
- Work is ongoing to simplify interfaces and expand APIs.
- Pipelines in Azure DevOps that are in their third generation.
- Some legacy systems remain, but are being gradually modernized.
This is a varied and technically stimulating environment with great opportunities to make an impact.
Who Are We Looking For?
- At least 5 years of experience in system development, primarily in C#/.NET.
- Experience with modern environments (e.g., Azure, microservices, or container platforms).
- Post-secondary education in IT or equivalent experience.
- Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
We also believe that you are a developer who enjoys collaborating, sharing knowledge, and taking responsibility for the quality of what you build.
What HSB Offers
- Opportunity to influence your own development and choose areas for deepening your expertise.
- A competent team with high trust and close collaboration.
- A culture characterized by engagement, sustainability, and care.
- Competitive benefits package (wellness, pension, insurance, etc.).
- Modern office in Hagastaden and flexible working arrangements with the possibility of remote work.
