Do you have experience and a burning interest in engines, and are you looking for a job where you don't have to stay at the same workshop every day? As a Service Technician at BOS Power, you will be based in Jordbro but have all of Northern Europe as your workplace. Here, you will enjoy a daily routine with a lot of freedom, where you book your own trips and focus on preventive maintenance of heavy-duty engine systems at customer sites. Welcome to apply today – we are reviewing applications on an ongoing basis!
About the Position
BOS Power is a leading player in engine technology with headquarters in Bergen and a strong presence throughout Northern Europe. In Sweden, operations are based at a modern workshop in Jordbro, south of Stockholm, where they operate as a tight-knit team of about 20 people. The company specializes in service and repair of powerful engines within critical infrastructure and the marine sector.
As a Traveling Service Technician at BOS Power, you will lead a varied working life, spending most of your time in the field, often alongside an experienced colleague. The focus is on preventive service and repairs at Nordic customer sites – primarily in Sweden and Norway. When you are not traveling, you will work in the Jordbro workshop on component refurbishment, preparations, and other engine-related tasks.
At BOS Power, you are offered:
- A stable base salary with favorable allowances for work outside Sweden and in Northern Europe
- A generous arrangement for overtime pay and inconvenient hours for late evenings and weekend work
- A comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, accident insurance, and wellness contributions
- Specialized training at the company's own training center in Norway and ongoing support from experienced mentors
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive service, maintenance, and repairs of engines at customer sites in Northern Europe
- Troubleshooting and technical problem-solving on-site in the field
- Document completed work through service reports and manage your own administration, such as travel expenses
- In the workshop: Repair components and support the team with preparations and maintenance
- Plan and book your own trips (flights, rental cars, and hotels) via the company's travel agency
We are looking for someone who
- Has practical experience and an interest in engines, demonstrated by taking apart and assembling an engine (e.g., from smaller workshops, heavy vehicles, or a racing/car hobby)
- Has the ability and flexibility to travel for work and enjoys being away for large parts of the time
- Has a Class B driver's license
- Is fluent in Swedish and has good knowledge of English
- Has an interest in engines and technology
It is an asset if you
- Reside on the southern side of Stockholm
To succeed in the role, you possess the following personal qualities:
We are looking for someone who is self-reliant, responsible, and unpretentious. Since the job involves many trips and long days at customer sites, you need endurance and a positive attitude toward problem-solving. You are structured enough to handle your own travel planning, while also being a team player who enjoys close collaboration with colleagues. We prefer someone who "sees what needs to be done" and is not afraid to step in where needed.
NOTE!
As part of BOS Power's recruitment process, a background check will be conducted on the final candidate prior to employment.
