Healthcare Pharmacy, Ryhov County Hospital

Are you a licensed pharmacist curious about patient-centered work? We have an increased demand for our services and are expanding our operations at Ryhov County Hospital, strengthening our team with two pharmacists. With us, you will have the opportunity to work closely with healthcare professionals regarding medication!

The Role of a Pharmacist

We are looking for a licensed pharmacist who wants to work in a patient-centered environment at Ryhov County Hospital. Your tasks will consist of clinical pharmacy work on the hospital's care wards as well as medication supply.

You will participate in ward activities where you perform medication reconciliation, discuss medications with patients, prepare medications, and order and restock medication inventories. You will work alongside our clinical pharmacists and become part of the hospital pharmacy's operations.

In this role, you will work independently on the wards while maintaining close collaboration and continuous dialogue with your colleagues within the team. Most of your time will be spent at your "home clinic," but over time, you will learn to work at additional hospital clinics.

Both positions are permanent with placement at Ryhov County Hospital. Start date is negotiable, after the summer. Working hours are weekdays, excluding weekends, from 07:30 to 16:00.

Your Future Workplace

Healthcare Pharmacy is responsible for ensuring that Region Jönköping purchases and uses medications in the best possible way. We are present at the county's three hospitals, and our operations include medication supply to hospitals, manufacturing/preparation of cytostatics and sterile preparations, ward pharmacy, and clinical pharmacy. Together we are approximately 55 employees, with about 40 at Ryhov County Hospital.

Your Profile

We are looking for a licensed pharmacist. We particularly value an interest in working closely with healthcare and a willingness to learn our field of work. Perhaps you have experience as a pharmacist and are curious about changing your focus. Or maybe you are a recent graduate and wish to use and develop your competence in a role with close collaboration with healthcare. Regardless, your attitude and motivation to develop in the role are what matter most to us! If you already have experience in patient-centered pharmaceutical work and/or experience in preparing and dispensing medications, it will be an asset. In this position, you need to be able to express yourself well in speech and writing and have good experience working with various IT systems.

To thrive in the role of a pharmacist, we believe you need to appreciate both close collaboration with your colleagues and the ability to work independently. You will become part of a work group where several professions work together; therefore, a communicative approach and the ability to build trust in meetings with both patients and healthcare staff are important.
