Responsibilities
As a Soil Environment Specialist, you will play a central role in the city's development, contributing expert knowledge to complex urban development projects and ensuring that soil environment issues are handled sustainably and in accordance with applicable requirements.
Your tasks include providing soil environment expertise to the entire administration. The role involves many points of contact where you will serve as the contact person for supervisory authorities, as well as a specifier and collaboration partner for consultants, contractors, and external developers regarding soil environment issues. You will also participate in the development of working methods and processes within the field.
You will be one of six soil environment specialists within the unit and will work closely with the administration's environmental lawyer. In this role, you will also collaborate with other municipal and state authorities in various networks and development projects.
The position is a parental leave substitute contract for approximately 11 months, with a start date no later than July 1, 2026.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a degree of at least 180 credits in environmental science, geology, geoscience, or another area we consider equivalent. You must have at least two years of experience working with contaminated areas, for example from an authority, consulting firm, or as an operator.
You have good knowledge of environmental legislation, particularly the Environmental Code, and experience in contact with supervisory authorities, as well as ensuring that measures and contracts are carried out in accordance with applicable requirements.
You have experience working in projects, preferably within urban development, where you contribute specialist expertise from investigation to implementation and follow-up. You are accustomed to the client role and to specifying requirements, coordinating, and following up on consultants and contractors. Experience with procurement according to the Public Procurement Act (LOU) is an asset.
As a person, you are independent, structured, and confident in your assessments. You have good collaboration skills and thrive in a role with many points of contact, including collaboration with authorities and other external actors. You also contribute to the development of working methods and processes within your area.
You communicate well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and are pedagogical in your professional role.
