About the Role
Do you want a meaningful job where you can make a real difference for both society and the energy transition? With us, you are part of a vital operation with exciting projects, cutting-edge technology, and colleagues who value each other.
We are now looking for several experienced Maintenance Managers who want to help build the maintenance operations of the future!
We are facing one of Vattenfall Eldistribution's largest investments ever – a historic effort to build a stronger, more resilient, and fully independent capability within maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. In a time when the external world demands higher levels of robustness and durability, we are taking decisive steps to secure an electricity grid that can withstand difficult conditions and deliver when it is needed most.
Your Role as a Maintenance Manager
The Station Department operates within the voltage range of 0.4–400 kV and is responsible for maintenance, projects, and troubleshooting in substations, control systems, and other high-voltage equipment. As a Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role in driving smaller projects and reconstructions, as well as planning and coordinating maintenance and service in our own facilities.
We are looking for someone motivated to create the best conditions for technicians and engineers in the field, as well as for the operation as a whole. The role involves a strong focus on safety, quality, progress, and engagement. Safety is the guiding star in everything we do; in a risky environment, we look out for each other and create security together.
Examples of Tasks
- Plan, prioritize, and follow up on maintenance measures based on technical and economic conditions.
- Lead and allocate work in the field, ensuring that assignments are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable requirements.
- Analyze technical documentation such as protocols, inspections, and facility data, and initiate appropriate actions.
- Ensure quality and safety through field inspections, safety walks, and follow-up of occupational health and safety routines.
- Collaborate closely with the control center, technicians, contractors, and internal functions to optimize planning and progress.
- Act as the Base Manager (Bas-P) and appoint the Base Supervisor (Bas-U) for construction and facility work, and establish an occupational health and safety plan when necessary.
- Work according to the company's self-control program for electrical installations and ensure the right competence and roles in the assignment.
- Appoint an electrical safety leader and establish method choices according to ESA (Electrical Safety Act) together with them.
- Contribute to technical development by participating in various improvement and development projects.
The work is largely conducted from the office, but an important part of the assignment is to be present in our facilities and care for them through long-term, high-quality, and careful maintenance. Day trips are therefore a natural part of the role.
Requirements Specification
As a Maintenance Manager within our own maintenance operations, you are the technician group's most important support in their daily work in the electricity grid. Leadership is a central part of the role; therefore, we are looking for someone with a coaching, solution-oriented, and communicative working style.
The role includes taking responsibility for the planning, prioritization, and execution of maintenance work in our electricity grid, with safety always as the highest priority. You drive the work forward in an organized and engaged manner, with a focus on high delivery quality and good service towards colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Upper secondary education or higher, preferably in electricity, power engineering, technology, or another relevant field.
- Work experience in electricity distribution or a closely related field.
- Good computer skills, including the Office package.
- Class B driver's license.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
Experience in project or service management within station maintenance is an asset. Experience working with case management systems or the business system SAP is also advantageous.
