As a Raw Material Supply Manager (RMSM), you will be responsible for securing and developing the raw material supply for the Malå sawmill, corresponding to approximately 800,000 m³ of coniferous sawlogs per year. You have overall responsibility for ensuring competitive availability, high delivery precision, and full regulatory compliance, while also contributing to the company's sustainability goals.

You will build and maintain long-term relationships with forest owners, contractors, cooperatives, and trading partners, as well as identify new suppliers and collaborations as needed. Through continuous market monitoring, you will analyze supply, demand, price developments, and competitor activities, translating this into effective purchasing and sourcing strategies.

A central part of the role is to negotiate terms, prices, and delivery schedules, as well as establish and follow up on purchasing agreements and framework agreements. You will also be responsible for purchasing planning in line with production needs and actively work to optimize inventory, flows, and logistics.

You will ensure that all raw materials meet requirements according to Swedish forestry legislation, environmental regulations, and internal policies, as well as manage traceability and supplier documentation such as FSC/PEFC certifications and transport documents. In close collaboration with internal functions such as production, logistics, sustainability, and finance, you will contribute to good cost control and stable delivery reliability.

The role also includes administrative follow-up in business and transport systems, participation in procurement processes, bidding procedures, and market meetings, as well as ongoing monitoring of key performance indicators such as purchasing prices, delivered volumes, delivery precision, and supplier performance, with a focus on continuous improvements.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a bachelor's or master's degree in forestry, economics, business administration, or equivalent. Relevant practical experience can replace formal education.

You have at least five years of experience in purchasing roundwood, timber trading, or forestry raw material supply in Sweden and possess good knowledge of the Swedish timber market, assortments, measurement units, stumpage pricing, and regional market conditions.

You have a good understanding of Swedish forestry legislation and sustainability frameworks, as well as experience working in business and transport systems (e.g., SAP). You also have good skills in Excel, and experience with GIS systems such as ArcGIS or QGIS is a plus.

As a person, you are business-minded with strong negotiation skills and an analytical, market-oriented approach. You are confident in making decisions even when not all information is available. You communicate fluently and find it easy to build long-term relationships, especially with forest owners and contractors.

You have a good ability to drive projects and manage contracts, are self-motivated, results-oriented, and have high integrity. You share a strong commitment to sustainable raw material supply and regulatory compliance.

You are fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written, and have good knowledge of English. You have a B driver's license and are prepared to travel frequently within Västerbotten and Norrbotten counties.

You are flexible, pragmatic, and enjoy working in teams.

What we offer

With us, you will have a varied and developing role with one of the leading global players in the sawmill industry. You will be offered an attractive work environment with good opportunities for both professional and personal development.

We have a flat organization with short decision-making paths where you will have great freedom of action and the opportunity to influence, contribute ideas, and see them come to fruition. You will become part of a collegial culture with an open climate.
