Description

During the summer, we have summer operations at Myran Preschool, which is an 8-section preschool located in Vännäs. The preschool has a cooking kitchen where between 40-100 portions are prepared per day during the summer weeks. The kitchen prepares breakfast, lunch, and snacks. During the summer, a cook and an administrative assistant usually work together. On some days/weeks, there is only one person in the kitchen.

Start date: 2026-06-16 or by agreement.

Tasks

You will work with the tasks that occur in a large-scale kitchen during the summer weeks. The work includes cooking, preparation, dishwashing, and cleaning, as well as tasks that meet the requirements for self-control. It also includes the preparation of vegetarian meals and special diets. The menu and some ordering are already done.

It is a given that you provide good service and contribute to creating a great meal experience for children and staff at the preschool.

Creativity and the ability to be organized and efficient in your way of working, as well as the ability to adapt work to current situations, are important qualities.

Collaboration with the pedagogical staff based on the children's needs will be central.

The preschool strives to cook as much food as possible from scratch.

Qualifications

Upper secondary education in hotel and restaurant, large-scale kitchen, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Work experience is an asset, and great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
