We are looking for a chef who wants to be part of our kitchen team and cook at Edelvik Folk High School.

Edelvik is located in the picturesque Burträsk, Västerbotten. The school has its own boarding house and welcomes course participants from all over the country. The course offerings are characterized by year-long programs in art and film; see all courses at edelvik.se

Our values have ideological roots in Swedish folk education and the faith of the Church of Sweden. At Edelvik, learning is based on the individual person's needs and conditions.

About 30 employees work at Edelvik - teachers, student assistants, kitchen staff, caretakers, administrators, etc. Around 80 - 100 participants move around the school every day, of which about forty live in the boarding house. In addition to providing meals for those living at the school, we sell lunch to guests from the community. We also offer catering, arrange smaller events, memorials, and day conferences. In the summer, we host guests who organize camps here, for whom we provide food and accommodation.

Your tasks will include:

• Cooking for up to 120 people.
• Managing the salad station and dining room tasks.
• Performing some cleaning and keeping the kitchen organized.

We believe that you:

• Are independent and stress-resistant.
• Have experience in large-scale catering.
• Can cook for 50 people alone on weekends if needed.

The position is a permanent employment with a six-month probation period. We anticipate that the position will start on August 1 or by agreement. This is a holiday position.
