New and experienced nurses are sought for Jakobsberg Geriatrics!
Welcome to Jakobsberg Geriatrics at Jakobsberg Hospital. We are located near Barkarbystaden with excellent transport links!
As a colleague in our clinic, you will enjoy a secure working environment and work alongside colleagues with extensive experience. Our latest employee survey shows that the work is meaningful, we learn new things and develop, and we look forward to a new day at work! We also have a high index in leadership and management with present and engaged managers. Our managers have been successful in recruitment, but we are now looking for a few more colleagues, both newly graduated and experienced.
As a nurse with us, you will
Work in a clinic where you use and deepen your nursing skills, thereby developing in your role as a nurse. Your introduction will be individually tailored with the opportunity for training/education in various aspects at our own KTC (Clinical Training Center). You will, among other things, meet patients with a wide range of diagnoses in both acute and stable care situations, handle various medical devices and medications.
There is an opportunity to engage and develop care through our quality groups. If you are an experienced nurse, there is always the opportunity to deepen your knowledge and contribute to improvement work in relevant areas within geriatrics.
There is an opportunity to influence your working hours; we apply individual scheduling with the new working time regulations. Probationary employment may apply.
Job Responsibilities
The primary task is to plan and carry out the patient's care together with the team, the patient, and relatives. Each ward has a discharge coordinator who relieves the nurse in the discharge process. For medication administration, we use inpatient dosing, which promotes patient safety and the working environment.
Qualifications
Requirements: Licensed nurse.
Merits: Experience in geriatrics/inpatient care. Specialist education and/or advanced training.
Personal Attributes
We place great importance on good teamwork, flexibility, professional conduct, and personal suitability. You are clear and attentive in your communication and see the big picture. You are interested in healthcare development and have the ability to create a very good collaborative and employee climate.
About Us
Jakobsberg Geriatrics has five units for patients with acute medical conditions of medical, surgical, or orthopedic origin and/or rehabilitation needs. Two of these units are specialized in stroke and acute confusion.
We Offer
We have a flextime agreement and care about a good working environment, including the opportunity for a wellness allowance of 5,000 SEK/year for full-time employees.
A gym is available in our premises. We are close to public transport, have good cycling paths with access to locked bicycle racks, and offer employee subsidies for car parking.
SLSO benefits include free open healthcare and insurance. There are good opportunities for development, e.g., to specialist competence, upon interest. During the interview, we can present more details about all our benefits.
We apply the Working Time Agreement with the Swedish Union of Health Professionals. The agreement means that nurses working shifts in 24/7 operations earn time into a time bank. This time can then be taken out as equivalent time, money, or pension savings, according to the employee's wishes. We also work with healthy schedules in individual scheduling.
