I am a woman in my 50s living in Visby, currently seeking personal assistants for daytime, evening, and weekend shifts.

I have diabetes treated with an insulin pump and a neurological condition that has made me wheelchair-bound, causing chronic nerve pain, cognitive impairment, and various other symptoms.

The work involves assisting me with diabetes management (excluding injections), administering medication, acting as my "arms and legs"; performing all routine household chores; providing companionship in the city and nature; helping with pet care; and assisting with contacts with authorities, doctor visits, etc. You should also be willing to help with administrative tasks and some personal care such as dressing and hygiene.

Requirements

I am looking for both female and male assistants who are calm, self-assured, and view the role of a personal assistant as a serious commitment. Great importance is placed on personal suitability and that we "click". Training will be provided on the job, and you should find it easy to learn new skills. Speaking and understanding fluent Swedish is a REQUIREMENT as I have some difficulties with communication.

Since I am sensitive to strong smells, it is very important that you do not wear strong perfumes, smell of smoke, or similar. You should also not be allergic to fur animals as I have cats and a dog.

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at SAAND Assistans is that you can present a valid ID and any documents proving the right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

To ensure the safety of our clients at SAAND Assistans, we obtain criminal record checks for all those we employ. Therefore, you need to present an extract from the police criminal record register prior to any potential employment.
