The Center for Musculoskeletal Disorders in Umeå is responsible for Orthopedics in the northern healthcare region, covering the four northernmost counties. The clinic is divided into sections for Arthroplasty and Tumors, Facts, Trauma, and Spine, all of which conduct thousands of patient visits, treatments, and surgical procedures annually.
The Center for Musculoskeletal Disorders, Umeå, is a University Healthcare Unit (USVE) where research and student supervision are a natural part of daily clinical life. The center includes outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, a day surgery unit, an administrative unit, and an orthopedic technology center. Our care is characterized by a holistic approach where many different professional categories collaborate for the best results, with the vision of keeping Norrland on its feet and in motion.
The Center for Musculoskeletal Disorders is also responsible for the Day Surgery Unit (DSU) at NUS. At the DSU, patients from several surgical specialties are cared for within the day surgery flow.

Responsibilities
As a Nursing Assistant with us, you contribute knowledge and engagement that make people feel safe. At the DSU, we care for patients before and after surgery, as well as documenting and monitoring vital parameters. You will work with patients from various surgical activities. The work is performed independently and in teams within a high-competence unit in a high-tech environment. Nursing assistants play an important and obvious role in the nursing team. Your work contributes to patient-safe care of high quality. We offer a varied and challenging job where you have the opportunity to learn new things every day, always with the patient in focus.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with an approved Nursing Assistant education. Since "Nursing Assistant" is a protected title, you must provide a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare, or alternatively a service certificate that places you under the National Board's transitional regulations, allowing you to use the title until June 30, 2033.
We prefer candidates with experience in surgical nursing and/or experience from postoperative care.
We are looking for someone interested in driving and developing the outpatient surgical activities at NUS. As a person, you should be engaged and positive. The job requires good teamwork skills, high flexibility, and the ability to work independently. You must have the ability to think and work in a process-oriented manner within a production-based operation, as well as good communication skills in both speech and writing.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
