Nurse for Emergency Care Department – Region Västerbotten

With 33 health centers and rural clinics (sjukstugor), we are where you are. We actively work with research and development, utilizing medical results to offer high-quality care where the patient is involved. The rural clinics are part of the Southern Lapland local healthcare area, which serves as a model area for the transition to local healthcare. With effective collaboration and a focus on the citizen, we drive important change initiatives within the region and together with the municipality. Remote clinical assessment and digital healthcare meetings are developing rapidly and are a key part of ensuring good, local, and accessible care in this area. Therefore, it is no coincidence that we are at the forefront in this field. The rural clinic model, which is an important starting point for local healthcare, characterizes both the attitude and working methods in the daily operations of the service.

The Storuman, Sorsele, and Tärnaby rural clinics belong to the same base unit and are located in Southern Lapland, 13 miles apart from each other (Sorsele and Storuman are 7 miles apart). The nearest hospital is Lycksele, where the county's ambulance helicopter is stationed.

Our rural clinics function as well-equipped mini-hospitals with access to emergency care beds, X-ray, ambulance services, and a laboratory. Our use of telemedicine is well-developed. Here you will find occupational therapists, midwives, physiotherapists, counselors, doctors, psychologists, secretaries, nurses, and assistant nurses. We provide emergency care as well as routine health center work and have a well-developed collaboration between all our professional groups and with the municipalities.

We are currently seeking a nurse for work at our emergency care department. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better. You work in a professional manner with the patient always in focus. As a nurse, you must address patients' medical and specific nursing needs and subsequently plan and prioritize the measures to be taken.

The role of a nurse also requires your ability to lead and motivate other nursing staff to jointly create a good working environment and offer quality care. The work requires independence, problem-solving skills, and the ability to make ongoing decisions in the correct order.

QUALIFICATIONS

You must hold a license to practice as a nurse.

We are looking for nurses with great drive, the ability to see the big picture, and a desire to work in an environment where the patient always comes first.

You are a compassionate and positive person who can work and prioritize in acute and stressful situations. You are good at collaborating with different people in various professional categories. You are proactive, ambitious, and see opportunities.
