Responsibilities

As a Category Buyer, you will:

• Develop and implement strategic category plans to optimize costs and the supplier base.
• Drive project purchasing in close collaboration with internal project teams.
• Negotiate and sign contracts with suppliers and build long-term relationships.
• Conduct cost analyses and work with Excel for follow-up and reporting.
• Ensure deliveries and quality through proactive supplier management.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has/is:

• 3–5 years of experience in purchasing, both strategic and project-based.
• A university degree in purchasing, engineering, or economics, or equivalent experience.
• Skilled in contract negotiations and supplier relationships.
• Proficient in Excel and confident in data analysis.
• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
• Experience from the automotive industry is an asset but not a requirement.

JTEKT Column Systems AB is a system supplier that develops, produces, and sells adjustable steering columns, telescopic shafts, and valves to the leading manufacturers of trucks, buses, and agricultural machinery in Europe.
