Do you want a job where you make a difference every day? As a Safety Coordinator (Trygghetsvärd), you will be the one creating community, security, and quality of life for the elderly in Gothenburg. Here you will meet people, ideas, and situations that make every day unique.

In the role of Safety Coordinator, you are the central and organized coordinator at a senior living facility. Your role is to inspire and encourage participation so that the community grows both within the building and in the surrounding area. This can involve organizing breakfast, leading chair exercises, hosting activities related to IT/technology, or participating in conversations covering both light and serious topics. You help senior tenants realize their wishes, often through activities in the common room, which serves as a place for socializing, hobbies, and recreation.

The work is independent, but you are never alone. You are part of a creative work group consisting of, at the moment, 14 Safety Coordinators who together staff 26 senior living facilities in Gothenburg. Here you will have colleagues to share ideas, experiences, and energy with.

As a Safety Coordinator, you have great freedom to plan and develop operations. You also work proactively by, for example, knocking on doors, making calls, or participating in events organized by either property companies or the City of Gothenburg. Close collaboration occurs with both AB Framtiden and private property companies.

Working hours are primarily during the day, but evening and weekend work may occur a few times a year. During a single day, you may be at different locations and/or doing very different things, as well as covering for other Safety Coordinators.

Location: You will have all of Gothenburg as your work area! Initially, you will work partly as a "runner" (visiting several different senior living facilities) and partly as a permanent Safety Coordinator at one of the facilities in the eastern parts of Gothenburg. This may change over time.

About You

Requirements

• High school education with a focus on care and welfare, IT/technology, or equivalent
• Experience working with and for seniors
• Technical skills such as: good knowledge of the Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Experience in pedagogically teaching and supporting the use of technical aids such as tablets, mobile phones, and computers
• Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with others.
• Flexible enough to switch between different workplaces during the same day (travel via public transport, i.e., no driver's license required).

Merits (not required)

• Further education in health promotion and preventive work
• Experience working in home care or other independent work.
• Experience with document management - ability to write minutes, short reports, and handle correspondence
• Ability to act as a "super-user" in IT/technology matters

Personal Qualities

As a Safety Coordinator for the elderly, you are pleasant and helpful towards other people, even in stressful situations. You have a good understanding of how individuals absorb knowledge and their different preconditions. In your role, you adapt the way you convey your message to the recipient and encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement.

You are meticulous, work with focus, and care about details. You ensure the work is done correctly. You check and follow up on your work to ensure it maintains a high quality. You plan, organize, and prioritize work in an efficient manner. You ensure the work is completed on time and follow up on the results.

You are attentive in your approach. You are positive, find solutions, and want to help. You understand what those we serve need and ensure they are satisfied. You can change how you work when things change. You can quickly change your perspective and attitude and see opportunities in changes.

You have the courage and ability to make your own decisions within the framework of your assignment without being dependent on others. In your work, you take responsibility for your and the group's tasks and drive the work forward.
