The Workplace

Here, we go the extra mile. Within the Social Administration in Karlsborg, approximately 250 engaged employees work to create security and quality in elderly care, care for people with disabilities, health and medical care, as well as individual and family care.

At the Sjösidan unit, which will be your new work area, there are three departments with homely apartments for people with cognitive impairment. Here, everyday life is close, personal, and characterized by presence. Each department has its own kitchen and common areas where we create social moments and security – together. We are currently facing retirements and an increased need for staffing, and therefore we are seeking several nursing assistants. The positions involve work during the day, evening, and weekends according to a schedule.

Job Responsibilities

As nursing staff with us, you work in a person-centered manner, always based on the individual's own needs, habits, and circumstances. We work with a 24-hour perspective, which means that every intervention – big or small – should contribute to security, continuity, and quality of life throughout the day.

Your mission is to support all aspects of daily life regarding care, service, and welfare based on the resident's needs. You must be able to provide security, good nursing care, and perform health and medical tasks after delegation, such as exercise, administering medication, and wound dressing. Our main task is to create security and a meaningful daily life for our residents together, while also meeting their daily needs.

The work includes receiving written and verbal information and documenting in the business system Viva.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with experience working with people who have cognitive impairment. Here you will meet people who need security, a warm approach, and professional support in their daily lives. Therefore, you need to be able to adapt your working methods to both planned and unexpected needs, and feel comfortable taking responsibility and taking your own initiatives.

You enjoy working in collaboration with others, contribute to a good atmosphere, and treat both residents and colleagues with respect and dignity. If you are also attentive, curious, and enjoy finding solutions when daily life presents challenges – then you will fit in very well with us.

Specialist training in dementia is an asset.
