Are you looking for a central and business-critical role in the design of steel structures and industrial projects?

We are now seeking a Design Manager, an operational and technically strong role for those who want to take overall responsibility for the design process and ensure that the right technical solutions are used throughout the project.

Here, you will work on more advanced and complex projects, in close collaboration with the sales organization, suppliers, and our R&D team in Poland.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY As a Design Manager, you play a central role in the organization. You are responsible for leading and developing the design process for steel halls and industrial buildings, with a focus on ensuring the right technical solutions and that projects achieve the expected function and performance.

The role is operational and technically hands-on. You will work both on design within your own projects and as technical support to the sales organization in deals where efficient and buildable solutions need to be developed.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and developing the design process for steel hall projects to ensure correct technical solutions and expected performance
  • Preparing design documentation for your own projects
  • Supporting the sales organization with technical and cost-effective solutions within the framework of the company's building systems
  • Ensuring that the design complies with applicable regulations, structural requirements, and functional requirements
  • Coordinating different professional groups in the design process, especially in larger contracts
  • Working closely with suppliers, project management, support functions, and the R&D team in Poland
  • Handling projects where buildings are integrated with other structures or contracts

You will serve as an important link between technology, business, and execution, where your ability to translate ideas, sketches, and sales drawings into well-developed and buildable solutions is crucial.

WHO ARE YOU? We are looking for someone with experience in design within the construction industry who feels confident taking technical responsibility in projects. You have a good understanding of construction technology and thrive in a role where you both drive the design process and serve as technical support in business dealings.

You are solution-oriented, communicative, and unpretentious, with no problem initiating dialogue with suppliers, internal engineers, or colleagues when something needs to be resolved.

Requirements:

  • Experience driving design processes towards the construction industry
  • Very good understanding of construction technology
  • Experience with technical documentation and design drawings
  • Proficiency in Revit
  • Experience coordinating different professional roles in the design process
  • Understanding of how technical solutions affect project execution and business

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a designer in steel or hall construction
  • Certification in steel structure design
  • Previous leadership role in design
  • Experience with calculation systems
  • Experience with larger or more complex industrial projects
