About Us
The Department of Environment and Urban Planning works with building permits, building control, surveying, maps, GIS, and planning issues. We also handle environmental and health protection issues on behalf of the Environmental and Urban Planning Committee. We are located in Mörby Centrum, 15 minutes from T-Centralen via the metro.
In our environmental department, seven inspectors, a coordinator, and the environmental manager work together. We work in an open office landscape with fixed desks, and there is an opportunity to work from home up to two days a week when operations allow.

Responsibilities
Are you an environmental and health inspector passionate about ensuring good health for current and future generations? Then you should work for us in Danderyd. Here, at Stockholm's coziest environmental department, you will have the opportunity to work with both food control and health protection issues as we search for a new star for our team.
- You will conduct inspections of, among other things, hygiene-related operations, schools, and swimming pools.
- You will handle incoming cases and answer questions from businesses and the public.
- You will also have the opportunity to participate with a health protection perspective in the planning process as part of the department's working group within detailed planning.
- The role includes some tasks within food control where you are expected to conduct inspections, handle incoming questions, and manage cases.
We are proud of our food control and the high level of service we offer our businesses. You will work independently but in a team with another colleague within the control unit. Exact areas of work will be tailored based on competence, operational needs, and interest.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- A college or university education in the field of environmental and health protection, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Experience working as an environmental and health inspector.
- Experience working in a politically governed organization.
- A valid B-class driver's license.
Experience working with food control is considered an asset.
To succeed in this role, we believe you should have some experience working as an inspector and have a good understanding of working in a municipality. You are confident in your role as an authority figure and enjoy the variety of the job. We are looking for an attentive and communicative person who finds it easy to build new relationships. You value working together with your colleagues to create the best conditions for work both in the short and long term. You work independently to organize and plan your work and complete your tasks on target.
