Job Description

As a Vehicle Tester for our client in Södertälje, you will be responsible for conducting tests and inspections of passenger cars to ensure functionality, safety, and quality prior to delivery or after repairs. You will work in a workshop environment alongside technicians and administrative staff, where accuracy, clear documentation, and problem-solving are central. The role includes practical test drives, diagnostics, and verification of performed actions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct test drives and functional tests according to checklists and established routines
• Perform diagnostics using diagnostic tools and read error codes
• Inspect brakes, steering, lighting, tires, electronics, and other safety-critical components
• Document test results in the workshop system and report deviations or the need for further actions
• Collaborate with technicians to reproduce faults, suggest actions, and verify completed repairs
• Ensure order and safety in the work area and follow routines for working environment and environmental management

Qualifications

• Education in vehicle technology or equivalent practical experience from a workshop is an asset
• Experience in troubleshooting or vehicle testing is desirable
• Good computer skills for documentation in administrative systems
• Ability to communicate clearly in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
• Meticulous, safety-conscious, and solution-focused with good teamwork skills
• Driver's License B (manual transmission)
