Nursing Assistant / Care Assistant for Summer Temporary Positions at Kalmar County Hospital

We offer temporary employment across several departments with good opportunities for extension. The clinics where we offer positions include: the women's clinic, orthopedics, medicine, emergency care, pediatrics, geriatrics, infectious diseases, surgery, oncology, and radiology. About You

We are currently looking for individuals who can work as temporary nursing assistants or care assistants within healthcare this summer. To be eligible for the position, you must be a trained nursing assistant, preferably with a focus on healthcare. As of July 1, 2023, the title "nursing assistant" (undersköterska) is a protected professional title. To use this title, we require proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen). If you are trained as a nursing assistant but do not have proof of the protected title, you will be employed with the title "care assistant" (omvårdnadsassistent).

Nursing students who have completed term 4 of the nursing program, or medical students who have completed term 7 (term 4 if studying at Linköping University), are welcome to apply for summer work as care assistants. Previous experience in healthcare and further education are considered assets.

We offer positions in various departments at the hospital and will distribute your application based on the department's needs, your education, and experience. Where possible, we will also consider your preferred clinic. Personal suitability is given great importance.

Please attach proof of education/grades and, if applicable, proof of the protected professional title to your application. If you have previously been employed within Region Kalmar County, we may contact your former manager for a reference check.
