Librarian (Temporary Position) – Västervik Library

Västervik Library consists of the central library, a library bus, and two branch libraries.

We are currently looking for a librarian for a temporary position at Västervik Library. Do you want a job where your contribution is significant to other people? Then you fit in with us!

Your Responsibilities

You will work with technology, digital services, and library operations. Together with the system administrator, you will work with Quria and serve as an editor and writer for Arena Nova. The role also includes standard librarian duties at Västervik Central Library and service on the book bus, which requires a Class B driver's license.

Evening and weekend shifts are part of the position.

Your Competence

You hold an academic degree in Library and Information Science or another academic education that the employer deems equivalent. You have previous work experience in public library work, library systems, and digital library services. For this position, you must also have a Class B driver's license and good driving experience.

Experience with reading promotion is also considered an asset.

We place great importance on personal qualities such as personal maturity, a pedagogical approach, creativity, flexibility, and good teamwork skills. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both orally and in writing. If you have additional language skills beyond Swedish and English, we also consider this an asset.
