We at Hultsfred Municipality are now looking for an IT Systems Specialist who wants to develop together with us in a role where technology, innovation, and social benefit meet.

About the role

As an IT Systems Specialist, you will become a key member of our team. You will work broadly and hands-on with operations, security, management, and development of the municipality's IT environment, while also driving improvements and exciting development projects.

The role combines operational work with strategic thinking and offers great personal responsibility. There is room to test new things, automate, find smarter solutions, and influence how our IT environment will look in the future.

You will become part of a team of 5 specialists within an IT unit with a total of 9 employees, where collaboration, trust, and knowledge sharing are a matter of course.

Examples of what you will work with:

• Installation, operation, monitoring, and further development of server and system environments
• Troubleshooting, incident, and problem management
• Automation and optimization with scripts and smart workflows
• Participation in or responsibility for development and change projects
• Documentation and improvement of working methods and routines

Our environment consists mainly of Windows on-premises and in Azure, as well as Linux Server. Environmental monitoring, labbing, and curiosity are a natural part of everyday life.

About us

The IT unit is responsible for the entire municipality's IT delivery, from operations and cybersecurity to development, management, and support. We are a small, competent, and humble team that values teamwork, flexibility, and trust.

Who are you?

You are a curious and solution-oriented IT specialist who likes modern technology and wants to continue developing. You enjoy working both independently and with others, and you see the big picture in the IT landscape from technology to user experience.

You have a genuine interest in how IT can simplify daily life for the organization and end users, and you are happy to share ideas and suggestions for improvement.

Your background

• Post-secondary or academic education in IT
• We prefer several years of relevant professional experience
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, spoken and written
• Class B driver's license

We require knowledge in:

• Microsoft server platform on-premises and in Azure
• Operations, security, and optimization of Linux Server
• MS SQL Server – operations and optimization
• PKI and certificate management
• Automation with PowerShell

Merits if you also have experience of:

• Application packaging
• Project management

The position is security classified.
