About the position

The Swedish eHealth Agency is tasked with building a national digital infrastructure for health, care, and social services to support and enable the sharing of health data between healthcare systems. The infrastructure aims to improve the quality of care, enhance patient safety, strengthen the position of patients, and reduce the administrative burden on healthcare professionals.

As a software developer with us, you will work in an agile team closely collaborating with investigators and business specialists who continuously deliver value. You will engage in test-driven development and test automation as a natural part of your role, making this a position for someone who appreciates a variety of tasks.

You will develop portals that become the hub for integrations and e-services that make healthcare more cohesive and efficient. We face complex and meaningful challenges where your skills as a software developer make a real difference – both for other developers and for healthcare personnel who help people every day. Here, you will work with modern technology, influence architectural choices, and create solutions used throughout the healthcare system.

About you

You are passionate about technology and how it can be used effectively. You are eager to learn what you don't know and come with ideas for new technical solutions and methods. You thrive when collaborating with others, take great responsibility for driving your work forward, and are analytical.

We are looking for someone who has:

• a degree in IT, software, or programming, or equivalent work experience
• at least three years of work experience as a software developer with Java as the primary programming language
• at least three years of work experience in frontend development
• at least two years of experience in work where testing and test automation are an integral part of the code's lifecycle management.

It is a merit for the position if you have:

• experience with frameworks such as Vue.js
• experience with development using Quarkus, Spring Boot, or other equivalent modern Java frameworks for microservices
• experience working with container-based technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
• experience publishing and contributing to open source.

The employment is permanent with a six-month probationary period. Start date as soon as possible or by agreement. The place of employment is Kalmar or Stockholm. The work may involve business trips, mainly between Kalmar and Stockholm.

Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. Therefore, we may need to conduct a security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585). For some tasks in the security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
