IT and Digitalization Unit

The municipality of Västervik is in the midst of an exciting digitalization journey. We are now establishing a new, consolidated IT and digitalization unit – and we are looking for someone who wants to be involved from the start and leave their mark on how we work with licenses, contracts, and procurements.  

This is a broad and varied role for someone who enjoys keeping track of details but also sees the bigger picture. You will become a key person ensuring that the municipality gets the right digital tools, at the right price and on the right terms.

You will work with license management and procurement that spans the entire municipal group. In practice, this means that you: 

• handle orders, invoices, and deliveries related to software and IT services 

• support procurements of digital systems and services in collaboration with the municipality's procurement unit 

• administer and develop the work in Snow License Manager – the municipality's SAM tool 

• inventory and analyze license usage and identify opportunities for efficiency 

• interpret license terms and software agreements and respond to inquiries from the operations 

• act as the contact person for our license partner 

You do not need a deep technical background – however, you need to understand how software and licenses function in an organization and enjoy having structure in finance, contracts, and administration. 

• you have post-secondary education in economics, law, IT, or purchasing – or equivalent
• you have post-secondary education in economics, law, IT, or purchasing – or equivalent experience
• you have experience handling invoices, contracts, or orders in a larger organization 
• you have a good ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written ?

It is advantageous if you have:

• experience in software procurement, purchasing, or resale of IT services 
• worked with license management or SAM, for example in Snow or similar tools 
• knowledge of IT contracts and copyright 
• experience in case management in a case management system
