At our client Prefab in the Nordics, you get a unique opportunity to work with flexible production and creative challenges. No day is like the other, and you will constantly need to think outside the box and quickly deliver innovative solutions within prefabricated construction projects.

About the role

In the role of designer, you have a key position where your technical creativity meets a strong business focus, and you will independently drive the design work for B2B projects within prefabricated building elements and structural solutions. You are responsible for transforming customer specifications into finished production and assembly documents and work closely with production and estimation to ensure buildability and cost-effectiveness.

The assignment begins as a consulting assignment through us, with the ambition to transition to a permanent position with the client after a period of collaboration.

Responsibilities

As a designer, you are responsible for driving the design process from start to finish with great freedom to find the smartest solutions. Since you sit wall-to-wall with the factory, you have a unique proximity to production, where you quickly see your drawings come to life in a flexible environment where traditional methods are challenged.

  • Establish production and assembly documents and produce complete material specifications in Revit.
  • Ensure buildability and cost-effectiveness by optimizing technical solutions based on the project's budget and results.
  • Actively collaborate with estimation and production to ensure that projects maintain high quality and are executed efficiently.
  • Drive technical issues and changes, which includes client meetings and ensuring that everything complies with BBR and applicable regulations.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has a post-secondary education in construction engineering or similar.
  • Has 2–5 years of experience in construction design, preferably within wood or prefab.
  • Has very good Revit skills and experience in creating production and assembly documents.
  • Is independent and reliable with good knowledge of BBR and Swedish industry regulations.
  • Is fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is a merit if you have

  • Experience in B2B project management and structural design
  • Experience in industrial production
  • Familiarity with AGA CAD and ERP systems
