Junior Estimator with Technical Background Wanted

Our client, a small manufacturing company in the construction industry, is now looking for an operational junior estimator with a technical background! Working closely with a senior colleague and colleagues from other departments, you will become a key person in delivering precise quotes and tender documents for B2B projects, directly contributing to the company's success and growth.

ABOUT THE POSITION

In the role of estimator, you will be a central part of creating precise quotes and calculations that are unique to each project, as well as tender documents. You will collaborate closely with design, production, and sales to ensure that customer drawings and technical descriptions are transformed into successful business deals, where both speed and accuracy are of utmost importance. You will report directly to the CEO and work alongside a senior colleague.

The assignment starts as a consulting assignment through us, with the ambition to transition to a permanent position with the client after a period of collaboration.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Tasks

In this role, you will be responsible for quickly and accurately translating customer inquiries into business calculations, with an understanding of what is practically feasible in the operation. In a fast-paced environment, you will act as the bridge between sales and production, ensuring that our projects are not only sold but also become profitable in the end.

Prepare material and production cost calculations and develop complete quote documents and delivery descriptions for the sales organization.
Quantity take-offs from drawing documents and ensure that the calculation aligns with internal production conditions and technical requirements.
Manage change order calculations and price adjustments, and actively participate in tender reviews to ensure project quality and results.
Ensure delivery of calculations according to the timeline, which requires the ability to prioritize correctly.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

Has 1-3 years of work experience in estimation within wooden house production.
Has a technical post-secondary education.
Has previous experience in tender work.
Has good knowledge of Wikells and is experienced in using Bluebeam.
Has the ability to prioritize and deliver on deadlines.
Has good Swedish in speech and writing.

It is an advantage if you have:

A background in B2B projects.
Experience with business systems (ERP).
Knowledge of Revit, focusing on efficient quantity take-offs.
