In a picturesque villa area near public transport lies Stocksundsgården care and nursing home, inaugurated in 1965 and renovated in 1995. Stocksundsgården consists of 30 apartments spread over four departments. We offer our residents a family-like and homely living environment with homemade food prepared in our own kitchen. The operation at Stocksundsgården is run by the municipality.

In 2024, Stocksundsgården received its ÄTUP certification, which means a knowledge boost for all staff regarding what affects the meals, nutrition of the elderly, and how to prevent and detect malnutrition.

We are looking for a meal assistant with a sense of responsibility for 75% and a genuine interest in creating pleasant dining experiences for our residents at Stocksundsgården. Welcome to become a part of us!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an engaged and service-oriented meal assistant who wants to help create good, nutritious, and sustainable meals for our residents. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing cold dishes such as salads, smoothies, and desserts, as well as cooking dishes and sauces according to the planned menu. During weekend shifts, you will have overall responsibility for the kitchen and ensure that the meals maintain high quality.

The work includes cooking, dishwashing, cleaning, food handling, and receiving deliveries. You will handle special diets, organize the pantry, and actively work to reduce food waste. You will collaborate closely with the chef and other staff at the residence, and through good communication, you will create meals that meet the individual needs and wishes of the residents. Together, you will contribute to a pleasant and food-loving environment where meals are an important part of the day.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• education or experience in large kitchens, restaurants, or similar operations.
• good knowledge of food hygiene and handling of special diets and allergens.
• knowledge of and has implemented HACCP.
• good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you have experience working in kitchens at nursing homes and have previously worked in a KRAV-certified kitchen.

We are looking for someone with a structured work approach who organizes and plans their work well and completes tasks on time with good quality. You are a stable person who handles stress constructively and maintains a good mood. You enjoy working with others and have very good teamwork skills with a shared goal in focus. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
