Tactical Officer to the Air Force's Training and Evaluation Department at the Air Combat School
About the Department:
The Air Force's training department is a subdivision of the LSS staff. The department leads the planning and execution of exercises centrally for the Air Force, including exercises together with other branches of the Armed Forces. The department's five main tasks are:
- Responsible for planning and conducting functional exercises within the Air domain
- Plan and execute the Air Force's participation in joint and international exercises of the Armed Forces
- Responsible for and coordinate the Air Force's evaluation and certification activities
- Coordinate and develop a common experience management for the Air Force
- Support the Air Staff in the development of air tactical leadership
Main Responsibilities
As a tactical officer in the training department, your main tasks are to lead or support exercise planning, including:
- Support the department head in the planning process
- Support/lead temporarily assembled working groups
- Support/lead work with the air combat forces' exercise planning
- Lead project planning within the exercise area
- Serve as an officer in various exercise management teams
- Support the air combat forces' experience process
Qualifications:
- Professional officer
- Experience leading working groups and projects
- Good ability to express oneself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
Personal Qualities:
As a person, you are enterprising and have a high work capacity, you are communicative and attentive. You have a great ability to work independently under time pressure as well as in the long term, and you are results-oriented, responsible, and meticulous. You work well in a team but also have a good ability to work independently within your area of responsibility. You can quickly see connections and have a holistic perspective, but also have the ability to discern details. You can quickly adapt and shift focus when conditions change.
Understanding and interest in the relationship between operations and resources is a prerequisite for taking on the position and the department's tasks in the best way; the position requires a high degree of personal responsibility and initiative.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Meritorious:
- Professional officer with at least 10 years of experience. Preferably from the Air Force
- Knowledge of FM experience management
- Experience in exercise planning at the unit level
- Experience in tactical evaluation of units
- Tactical knowledge of the air combat forces' capabilities
- Experience with Exonaut+
- Knowledge of air defense systems 98 and/or 103

The Air Combat School has four joint Air Force schools and trains, among other things, future pilots within the Armed Forces.
