Vilhelmina Health Station is part of Region Västerbotten and operates according to the health station model – a unique form of care for rural areas where primary care and emergency care collaborate closely. We belong to Southern Lapland, Base Unit South, together with the health stations in Åsele and Dorotea. We also have a close collaboration with the hospitals in Lycksele, Umeå, and Skellefteå as well as with our surrounding municipalities.

The health station has an emergency department, district nurse clinic, and elder care nurse. There is also a rehab team, maternity and child health care, and social workers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a district nurse for our mountain branches. As a district nurse at the clinics in the mountain area, you will lead the work independently regarding planning, collaboration, and implementation of nursing and HSL interventions for the citizens living and staying in the area. You will collaborate with the municipality's operations and with specialist clinics within the region.

The work may also involve collaboration with the municipality regarding patients in home care.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a licensed district nurse, alternatively a licensed nurse. A B driver's license is a requirement for the position.

It is an advantage if you have experience working in primary care and/or home care.

We prefer that you are confident in your professional role, have a good ability to work independently, and at the same time value collaboration with colleagues and other care providers. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
