Service Assistant to Operation 2

Within the clinic for anesthesia, surgery, and intensive care, we conduct acute and planned surgical care, anesthesia, postoperative care, intensive care for children and adults, as well as sterile technical operations at the regional and county level in close collaboration with other clinics in the county. The clinic is also responsible for airborne intensive care in the north and for conducting research, development, and education.

At Operation 2, we work with neurosurgery, obstetrics (cesarean sections), pediatric surgery, and ENT (ear/nose/throat). We also have anesthesia teams that assist with eye surgeries, hand and plastic surgeries, jaw, dental, MRI examinations, ECT treatments, INR lab, CT lab, and we also perform anesthesia for children undergoing treatments, etc. We have about 80 employees from various professional categories. Every day we work together in interdisciplinary teams as well as across departmental boundaries to save, improve, and prolong lives. It is a challenging task that we take on together.

We are now looking for a service assistant as our current service assistant is retiring.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a service assistant with us, you provide important service and enable efforts that affect many.

In the role of service assistant, you perform care-related service tasks, such as intermediate cleaning and preparing operating rooms together with the team in the room, cleaning the facility's aids and equipment, replenishing daily consumables, emptying and transporting laundry and waste, preparing samples for submission, sterilization checks of materials, keeping shared spaces clean and stocked. You ensure that the work environment is inviting and that the healthcare staff has good practical conditions to perform their daily work.

The workplace is characterized by high competence, flexibility, good community, and a forward-thinking attitude. It is an active job where heavy lifting occurs. The tasks may change and be added over time.

You are an important part of the work team on the department.

The work is mainly scheduled for daytime weekdays, but there may be some evenings as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who enjoys interacting with people, is social, and has a service-oriented mindset. If you are flexible, enjoy working in teams as well as independently, and are reliable and meticulous, you possess the right qualities for the job. It is important that you have a good attitude towards staff, patients, and relatives in a hospital environment. We prefer candidates who have an interest in working in a healthcare environment, particularly in surgical operations. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability and good knowledge of hygiene.

Experience in the service industry such as retail, hotels, restaurants, cleaning, etc., is advantageous. Particularly, it is positive if you have previously worked with service in the healthcare sector.
