Psychiatric Clinic Seeks Resident Physician with License

The Psychiatric Clinic at Norrland University Hospital in Umeå is the largest psychiatric clinic in Norrland with over 400 employees. We have three general psychiatric wards, forensic psychiatric services, and several specialized outpatient and treatment units.

The Psychiatric Clinic works for equitable care for all and nursing based on research and clinical experience. The clinic collaborates with the university and conducts research in the field of psychiatry. We have both professors and lecturers, as well as university doctors affiliated with the clinic in combined positions or as doctors with part-time connections to the university. Within the clinic, there are various positions from senior physicians, specialist physicians, and physicians in specialist training who work clinically.

The Psychiatric Clinic has moved to a newly built facility where the care environment is characterized by the importance of the care environment for promoting health. The living and working environment is supported by modern technology and research, which is evident in the lighting and communication systems. The clinic is climate-smart and self-sufficient in, among other things, electricity and heat. Both bus and train connections are close to the psychiatric building, making it easy to commute.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a resident physician with us, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better.

In your role as a resident physician, you will work with standard tasks associated with a care ward, such as admissions, rounds, examinations and assessments of patients, discharges, participation in team rounds, and contact with relatives.

We are looking for someone with an interest in psychiatry. As a person, you are responsible, want to work cross-professionally, and have good collaboration skills. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

On-call and standby duties are included.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a Swedish medical license with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare by the time of appointment.

You are a present and positive person who, with knowledge and care, sees the patient and contributes to a holistic view that makes the care process better and safer. You enjoy collaborating and being there for other people. Furthermore, you are self-driven and can take responsibility for your workday.

You need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language at a C1 level.
