Your Job This Summer

As a meal assistant, your most important task is to ensure that Bräcke diakoni's customers receive good, safe, and well-adapted food every day. You will work alongside chefs in the kitchen and be an important part of the overall meal experience. The food is prepared for residents and home care clients and includes both traditional dishes and special diets tailored to different needs. You will work as needed, from occasional shifts during the spring to longer scheduled periods during the summer.

Your Job May Involve:

• Assisting with preparations and simple cooking
• Serving meals to our customers
• Handling dishes and cleaning in the kitchen
• Contributing to order, hygiene, and safety in the kitchen environment
• Collaborating with chefs and other staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Meeting customers and contributing to a positive dining experience

Who We Are Looking For

You are over 18 years old and want to work part-time alongside studies or other jobs, or you are looking for a summer job where you can make a difference. You enjoy practical work, collaborate well with others, and take responsibility for your tasks. You are service-oriented, meticulous, and have an interest in food and providing others with a good experience. You also have the ability to handle physical work that involves standing, walking, and lifting.

Qualifications

• You are at least 18 years old
• You speak and understand Swedish
• Experience working in a kitchen, restaurant, or large kitchen

It is an advantage if you have:

• Basic knowledge of food hygiene
• Experience with dishwashing and kitchen routines or serving
• Experience with special diets or work in care and nursing (for example, elderly care or hospitals)
