Continental du Sud is proudly presented as Sweden's oldest hotel. The hotel has undergone extensive renovations while preserving beautiful details and creating unique environments and meeting places. Restaurant Brasserie du Sud is the heart with its Nordic culinary art with a French twist. There are 3 meeting rooms, one of which is a beautiful Salon perfect for large parties or weddings, a lovely Gallery, and 55 unique hotel rooms, each telling its own unique story.

The sister hotel Hotell Fritiden (no more than a 5-minute walk away) is a personal hotel with a cozy and warm “home away from home” feeling. Our guests stay in a modern environment characterized by Scandinavian design with Mediterranean influences, just a stone's throw from Ystad's center with train & bus connections. Genuine care and personal commitment characterize everyone who works with us! The hotel has 75 rooms, 7 conference rooms, a restaurant with 100 seats, a juice bar, a rooftop bar, wellness oasis & gym.

What does the job entail?

As a receptionist at Hotell Fritiden and Hotell Continental du Sud, you are the heart and face of the hotels – you are the first and last person our guests meet. Every day brings new challenges, and you need to be both quick-witted and solution-oriented. We promise a fast pace, happy guests, and a fantastic team spirit!

Your superpowers:

• Check in and out guests with a smile
• Guide and assist guests with all possible (and impossible) questions
• Manage bookings in the system, via phone and email
• Coordinate with other departments to provide guests with the best experience
• Keep the reception and lobby tidy and inviting
• See opportunities for upselling and create that little extra
• Be a rock in stressful situations and solution-oriented

Who are you?

You love service and thrive when things are happening. You are flexible as your job alternates between two different hotels, which also adds more dynamism to your role. Have you worked in a hotel before? A big plus! Can you also use the booking system Visbook? Even better!

We are open 24/7, so you need to be flexible and able to work days, evenings, every other weekend, and some holidays.

The temporary position is for about 1 year.
