The Role of Specialist Nursing Assistant with Us

As a specialist nursing assistant focusing on cognitive impairment, you will work in a cross-professional, consultative team together with occupational therapists and dementia coordinators/nurses. Together, you will provide operational support and drive development work within the administration based on our work with dementia/cognitive impairment.

The team is organized at the Care and Social Services Administration's management office. Since we work closely with the administration's units, the work may need to be scheduled for evenings if necessary.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Supporting colleagues and developing work methods in care and social work.
• Being a support function in the area of cognitive impairment. Supporting and introducing new employees/colleagues.
• Contributing to the optimal use of the organization's resources.
• Collaboration internally and externally.
• Supporting staff in their work with the BPSD registry.
• Working closely with operations, guiding in individual cases.
• Developing and conducting training for staff.
• Identifying needs for competence enhancement and obstacles in the organization and being part of development and improvement work.

Your Profile

As a person, you are accommodating in your approach and attentive to your surroundings. You create new contacts as well as maintain your current working relationships. You take responsibility and drive your work forward, delivering results and prioritizing your work effectively. You see opportunities in changes, take your own initiatives, and come up with new approaches to work-related issues. You express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written, as this is required in daily work. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who:

• is a trained nursing assistant with proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare of a protected professional title
• is a trained specialist nursing assistant with 200 higher vocational education credits or alternatively 60 university credits in the field
• has experience working with people with cognitive impairment
• holds a B driver's license

It is advantageous if you have:

• experience as a BPSD administrator
• experience in advocacy work
• experience in (leading) and training at group and individual levels

We offer a permanent full-time position with placement according to agreement.

As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant is a protected professional title.
