Role Overview

This is a strategic advisory assignment in quality assurance and testing aimed at an experienced specialist with a proven ability to create and further develop test strategies, QA frameworks, and governance models for quality. The assignment is set in an international and technologically advanced environment with a focus on automation and complex system integrations.

You will be a trusted advisor to key stakeholders in the organization, ensuring that quality assurance is methodically robust, integrated early in the delivery cycle, and contributes to delivering safe and well-tested solutions to the customer.

Responsibilities

• Act as a strategic partner and advisor on QA strategy, testing methodology, and quality governance.
• Design, improve, and institutionalize test strategies, processes, and working methods for both system and integration levels.
• Drive the implementation of shift-left principles to ensure early testability and quality in requirements and design phases.
• Support the establishment and maturity development of QA frameworks, including standards, templates, and governance structures.
• Identify and assess risk areas during delivery and integration phases and suggest measures to mitigate them.
• Ensure that necessary QA activities are performed before customer delivery and that exit criteria are met.
• Initiate and lead improvement initiatives based on lessons learned, metrics, and quality indicators.
• Mentor and build capacity within the organization to increase overall QA maturity.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in testing, QA, and quality assurance, with several years at a strategic or advisory level.
• Extensive experience in developing and implementing test strategies and QA frameworks in complex technical environments.
• Strong knowledge of testing processes, methods, test automation, and quality governance.
• Experience from integration-intensive or technically complex environments such as automation, intralogistics, industrial systems, or similar.
• Ability to act strategically and advisory with high business understanding rather than merely executing operational tasks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented with documented experience working in international organizations.

Desirable

• Experience from integration-intensive projects and complex system integration.
• Technical or industrial background, such as automation or vehicle-related systems.
• Academic degree in engineering, information technology, or equivalent.
• Certifications in testing, quality, or relevant frameworks (e.g., ISTQB, TMMi, or similar).

Start / Duration

• Start: Immediately or as agreed
• Duration: Ongoing/contract period until 2026-12-31 (can be extended)
• Scope: Part-time, flexible assignment form (up to 50%) or as agreed

Location

Remote as the primary working model. Some travel may occur to clients or partners, for example, Dortmund, Germany, if needed.
