The municipalities of Hudiksvall, Bollnäs, Gävle, Ockelbo, Sandviken, Söderhamn, Nordanstig, Hofors, and Ovanåker have together with Region Gävleborg formed a joint occupational health service. We serve over 30,000 employees in the county. We currently have 46 employees located in Bollnäs, Hudiksvall, Sandviken, and Gävle. We are now looking for an occupational health nurse to be placed with us in Hudiksvall, but work may also occur at the other units of the occupational health service, which also involves some travel in the position.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition to your professional role, all employees at the occupational health service of Region Gävleborg are occupational environment consultants. You will support our clients in systematic work environment efforts and be part of a multiprofessional team. The tasks include assignments at the individual, group, and organizational levels from a health-promoting, preventive, and supportive perspective. Important factors in our work are a holistic view and a consultative approach. The work is varied, where you will support managers and operations in work environment issues.

As an occupational health nurse with us, you will work with:

• alcohol and drug rehabilitation
• sampling (alcohol and drug rehabilitation)
• vaccinations
• statutory medical checks
• sorting conversations.

In the role of occupational environment consultant, you will work with:

• work-oriented rehabilitation and work adaptation
• participating in and conducting work ability assessments
• assisting in the change and design of various work environments and workplaces.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a flexible person interested in creating opportunities and development together with others. A prerequisite for teamwork is collaboration skills, humility, and commitment. You should have an interest in systematic work environment efforts and how you can support managers in the operations in this area in a health-promoting, preventive, and supportive way. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

In the role of occupational health nurse, you should:

• be a licensed nurse
• hold a valid B driver's license.

For this position, it is advantageous if you have occupational health nurse training, experience in working consultatively, and if you have previously worked in occupational health care. A background as a district nurse is also considered an advantage. It is important that you have an interest in working comprehensively as an occupational environment consultant in addition to your tasks as an occupational health nurse.
