We are looking for an Environmental Engineer to Trafikverket.

This is a consultancy assignment. The location is Borlänge.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The resource consultant works as an environmental engineer at Trafikverket, Maintenance, Technology and Environment (UHtmn). The role involves supporting the operations with various environmental issues related to Trafikverket's road and railway facilities, as well as transferring knowledge to employees at Trafikverket.

Responsibilities

Support and management of emerging environmental issues from the operations

Preparation of documentation for procurement of base contracts

Review of environmental requirements at kickoff meetings based on internal governing documents and guidelines

Support in ordering and conducting permits and baseline surveys

Support to the operations during procurements

Participate in the work with regulations and respond to inquiries from the public

Participate in the strategic work to evaluate working methods and routines

Preparation of documentation for targeted environmental measures and actions in maintenance plans

Authority matters, including 112:6 consultations, exemptions, and permits

Use of computer and workspace provided by Trafikverket in Borlänge

Travel in the service within the Central and Eastern regions

Requirements (IMPORTANT, mandatory)

Higher education of 180 credits in the field of environment, biology, ecology, landscape management or sustainability, or other education combined with experience that Trafikverket deems relevant for the assignment.

At least one (1) year of work experience in handling environmental issues. The work experience should not be older than three (3) years from the date of the bid.

Basic knowledge of ArcGIS Pro.

Experience in vascular plant inventory within infrastructure environments.

Basic knowledge of the Environmental Code.

Good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.

Current safety training for work on roads.

Hold a valid driver's license for passenger cars in Sweden

Have completed the course Basic Tree Inspection
