About the Company

WBAB is the municipal company that ensures everyday life runs smoothly – literally. They work with everything from clean water in the tap to safe sewage solutions and smart waste management for the residents of Ludvika and Smedjebacken. As an important community builder, they simply make life a little easier, a little cleaner, and much more sustainable.

About 90 employees work with, among other things, pipeline networks, drinking water production, wastewater treatment, waste collection, and the operation of recycling centers and stations. The company is owned jointly by the two municipalities, and the management office and customer service are located in Smedjebacken.

Your Responsibilities

WBAB is now looking for a project manager who wants to develop and drive the municipalities' operational and construction projects – from smaller tasks to larger projects. This is a role for you who enjoys being out in the field, likes to be close to the projects, and wants to work on something that has a direct impact on both society and the environment.

As a project manager at WBAB, you will have a varied and significant assignment where you manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will spend a lot of time in the field to follow up on operational and construction work. You will work both strategically and operationally, handling everything from project and construction management to client and stakeholder dialogue. The role also involves managing contracts, administration, and necessary permits from the municipality, county administrative board, and other actors. You will collaborate closely with internal functions such as water and sewage strategists, designers, and project investigators, and may also participate in design work for certain projects. Additionally, you will be involved in budgeting and follow-up work, ensuring that the project is carried out according to schedule, budget, and complies with legislation.

Your Profile

You are an experienced project manager who thrives in a role where you can take responsibility, create structure, and drive work forward. If you have previous experience in water and sewage, construction, or infrastructure projects, that is highly meritorious but not a requirement – what matters is that you have good project management skills and can easily familiarize yourself with new technical areas. You are confident in meetings with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, even when conversations are challenging. You communicate in a clear, solution-oriented, and professional manner. You enjoy taking initiative, making quick decisions when needed, and fostering good collaboration around your projects.

We would like you to have qualifications such as a university degree in engineering, construction, project management, or equivalent experience. Experience in project management, preferably within water and sewage, land and construction, or other critical infrastructure. Knowledge of contract law (AB, ABT, ABK). Familiarity with budgeting and follow-up work. A valid driver's license (B).
