Summer Job as Assistant Traffic Engineer

In our Traffic Environment unit, Traffic Engineers work to create a good traffic environment within the legislative and traffic environment area. We handle a large number of cases based on applicable legislation, including the Road Act and the Road Sign Regulation. We also provide opinions on referrals to other authorities. With us, you can apply for road guidance, connection permits, permits to work on state roads, etc.

Your tasks will include being responsible for a total of three case mailboxes where all questions and matters directed to us are to be distributed to the right case handler and handled in a timely manner.

We have case meetings during the summer, and your responsibility will be to coordinate these meetings with the staff on duty and to distribute cases to the right case handlers. There are also some cases for which you will be responsible, while other administrative tasks may occur.

To thrive in this role, you should be a structured person with good communication skills. The staff you will interact with are located in different offices in the central region. All our meetings are digital.

Duration of the summer job: 2026-06-08 - 2026-08-28

Who are you?

As a person, you are solution-oriented and have the ability to engage in various tasks and solve the situations that arise. You have good collaboration skills, are committed, and perform your tasks reliably. You are motivated by active participation where you responsibly take charge of your tasks while being aware of how you are part of and contribute to the whole by collaborating with others.

We expect you to have:

• An ongoing university education in urban planning or civil engineering, alternatively you are studying a traffic engineering program via YH or similar. Alternatively, you have completed the required education in 2024 or later.
• Good computer skills.
• Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
