Workplace Description
We are now looking for a study advisor for the Faculty of Medicine's office.
The position is located in the department for program and student support, which is part of our educational unit. Here, you will work closely with students and our educational programs in medicine and care, addressing a wide range of operational and student-related issues.
In the department, we are 19 dedicated employees who work together as study advisors, educational coordinators, and student counselors, collectively contributing to an inspiring workplace.

Job Responsibilities and Areas of Responsibility
As a study advisor, you will be part of a group of 8 study advisors. You will also work in teams with educational coordinators and the program management for the program you are advising. In this role, you will have close contact with many fantastic colleagues who together contribute to the Faculty of Medicine's prominent position in its field and to securing the future healthcare workforce.
The main task of the study advisor is to create good conditions for students to complete their studies. This role involves early identification and support for students with special needs, monitoring students' rights, and following up on their academic results. You will also be a presenter in student social committees and help ensure a legally secure and safe study environment. The goal is to achieve completed education for our students and to ensure that prospective students gain knowledge about the faculty's programs.
Qualifications
Requirements for the position are:
- Study advisor education or similar.
- Previous experience as a study advisor within the Swedish education system.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both Swedish and English, in both spoken and written form.
- Well-structured, good collaboration skills, and a positive solution-focused attitude.
- Ability to see larger contexts.
Meritorious for the position is:
- Comfort with navigating the digital world and effectively working in various digital systems.
- Experience with administrative tasks.
- Knowledge of regulations related to education.
- Experience in study guidance within universities in Sweden.
Other
The position is a 100% temporary position for 6 months. Desired start date is August 19 or by agreement.
The Faculty of Medicine is an area of operation within Lund University, responsible for education and research in medicine, care, and health.
