Custodian for Arenas in Karlstad

Description

The Sports and Leisure Department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of a large number of sports facilities, football fields, exercise tracks, and our larger sports facilities – including Karlstad's new arena area, Solstadens sportcenter. The department also includes Sundstabadet, Vålberg's swimming hall, and the outdoor facility Parkbadet Kronan.

We are now looking for a custodian who will primarily work at our arenas.

Responsibilities

As a custodian within Sports and Leisure, you will have a varied and seasonal job. Our area of responsibility includes both outdoor sports facilities and indoor arenas – everything from modern facilities to older ones that we develop with care for all residents of Karlstad.

The work involves operation, maintenance, cleanliness, and upkeep of our facilities. We offer residents artificial turf fields, grass fields, and artificially frozen ice in our halls, and you will play an important role in creating safe, inclusive, and welcoming environments for everyone who uses them.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with experience in maintaining sports facilities and a genuine interest in sports and community life. Experience operating an ice machine is a plus. You need to be comfortable with digital work methods and have good computer skills, particularly in Office 365.

As a person, you are proactive, responsible, and solution-oriented. You work systematically both independently and with colleagues. You interact with the public, associations, and colleagues with professionalism and good service – and you contribute to creating a safe environment where everyone feels welcome.

A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement.
