We are now looking for a nursing assistant who wants to work in the palliative department.

About the job

Working with us is challenging and varied, sometimes heavy but incredibly meaningful and rewarding.

Everyone has an important role where we make a difference every day. The team around the patient includes doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, dietitians, social workers, and occupational or physiotherapists.

As a nursing assistant in our department, you will care for patients with palliative care needs. We work with a person-centered approach where the focus is on what is important for the patient and their relatives. In addition, you will also perform regular nursing assistant tasks.

We are looking for

We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant and have worked a few years in the profession and feel secure and confident in your role. Experience with severely ill/palliative patients is an advantage. You should have a pedagogical approach, be able to make independent decisions, and be comfortable working individually while enjoying working in interdisciplinary teams. You are not afraid of difficult conversations, have the courage and strength to care for severely ill patients as well as support relatives. You see it as a given to provide individualized and adapted care to both patients and relatives.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Other

As of July 1, 2023, the title of nursing assistant became a protected professional title. This means that you will need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title of nursing assistant in healthcare.
