Description

We are looking for an engaged Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician who wants to be part of our team at the Inpatient Dose Unit! With us, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in people's lives by being a vital part of the care chain.

The Inpatient Dose Unit is part of the Hospital Pharmacy VGR SU and belongs to the Pharmaceutical Services area within Sahlgrenska University Hospital. In addition to the Inpatient Dose Unit, Hospital Pharmacy VGR SU includes the units for Medication Services, Clinical Pharmacy, and Extemporaneous Compounding. The position "Inpatient Dose" involves mechanical dose dispensing of medications to hospitalized patients, and our unit at Östra Hospital daily supplies approximately 1000 patients in Gothenburg, Kungälv, and Alingsås with dispensed medications.

Responsibilities

As a Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician, you will play a central role in ensuring that our patients receive safe and secure medication. Your responsibilities include:

• Pharmaceutical review of prescriptions for safe and accurate medication.
• Preparation of doses for hospitalized patients at multiple hospitals in VGR.
• Participation in training to continuously improve your skills.
• Working closely with other professionals in healthcare.

Qualifications and Conditions

As a Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician with us, we are looking for someone who wants to be part of the care chain and has a strong sense of teamwork. We value knowledge and commitment, and therefore the following qualifications are necessary to succeed in this role:

• You must have a bachelor's/master's degree in pharmacy or equivalent.
• Proof of licensure as a pharmacist or pharmacy technician is required.
• Good understanding of medication treatment and patient care.
• Good computer skills and knowledge of the Office suite are advantageous.
• You are positive, solution-oriented, and have the ability to work both independently and in a team.
• You need to express yourself easily in both spoken and written form, in both Swedish and English.

Working hours: Full-time with flexible working hours to promote a good work-life balance. General working hours are 8 AM to 4:45 PM.

Previous experience in dose operations is advantageous, but we also value new graduates with the right attitude and motivation.
