Summer Substitute for the Kitchen at Familjehuset in Lund

Familjehuset welcomes families with children up to 12 years old. The organization conducts qualified investigative and treatment work, always focusing on the needs of the child. The goal is to strengthen parents' caregiving abilities, create security, and provide children with the conditions for good development. We work closely with social services and see collaboration as a central part of our mission.

Familjehuset in Lund is part of VoB Syd, which operates on a community-benefit basis without profit motives. The owners are the Municipal Association VoB Kronoberg and the Municipalities of Skåne.

We are now looking for a summer substitute for our kitchen at Familjehuset in Lund.

For us, the kitchen is an important place in the house. Here, people meet during the day – children who drop by, parents who chat for a moment, and the smell of food wafting through the corridors. Therefore, we are looking for someone who enjoys being around people and wants to be part of the daily life in an organization where families stay for a period of time.

The work involves cooking lunch from scratch, preparing evening meals, and making certain preparations for the weekend. You will plan the menu and make food orders, as well as plan the week's meals in a cost-conscious manner.

We often cook classic home-cooked meals but also appreciate inspiration from other food cultures.

The job also includes keeping the kitchen tidy and managing the dishes. The kitchen is a natural meeting place in the house, and you need to enjoy talking to people and being part of the social context that arises around food.

When it fits into the operation, you are welcome to involve families in the cooking. The kitchen can be a place where one learns, collaborates, and meets in everyday life.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is positive, social, and enjoys working among people. You need to be able to work independently, plan your work, and maintain structure and order in the kitchen.

It is an advantage if you have knowledge of food hygiene and self-control.

Experience in social work or meeting people who may need extra support is a merit.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
