Åbylund plan 2
We are now looking for a nursing assistant for our special accommodation.
Åbylund is centrally located in Gamleby, close to the health center and shops. There is a pleasant and accessible courtyard with beautiful plantings. Our vision at Åbylund is that everyone should be able to be themselves. To achieve this, we work to preserve the abilities that exist and to ensure that everyone can manage what they can do themselves.
Most of us working at Åbylund are trained nursing assistants with extensive experience. We work with a contact person system, which means that you will have primary responsibility for some of the users. It is also the contact person who communicates with the relatives.
Your Responsibilities
Your responsibilities consist of providing care, assistance, and support to users based on their individual needs, as well as creating a meaningful everyday life for the users. You will also establish implementation plans for the users for whom you become the contact person. We work according to a salutogenic approach, which means that we focus on the healthy aspects of each individual.
You will work according to a schedule that includes days, evenings, and weekends. The Social Administration in Västervik Municipality is working to implement the desired employment rate. This means that you will eventually be able to choose the employment rate you wish to work.
Your Qualifications
We want you to have a degree from the health and care program or another equivalent education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
The position requires you to have basic IT skills to work with the systems we use for record keeping, among other things. You must also have basic knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Within the Social Administration in Västervik Municipality, we use language tests as part of the recruitment process.
It is important that you have a strong empathetic ability and can listen to and understand the various needs of the users, as well as a willingness to meet these needs in the best possible way.
The position requires you to be responsible and have a flexible working style. You also need to be attentive and have a good ability to collaborate with users, relatives, and colleagues. We place great value on engagement in the work and a desire to contribute to the best of the organization.
Other Information
To be considered for the current position in Västervik Municipality, you must present an extract from the police criminal record. You can order the extract here: HVB-hem, e-service | Police Authority (https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/hvb-hem/). Please note that the processing time can take up to 2 weeks. You will need to present your extract if you are offered a position.
