Job Advertisement: LSS Case Officer to the Disability Unit

The Disability Unit

The authority department, with about 70 employees, works with case management according to the Social Services Act and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons.

We also have the prevention unit, which includes support for relatives and health for those aged 65 and over. We are also responsible for fee management and housing adaptation grants. We investigate, decide, and follow up on interventions for individuals who, due to age or disability, need support and care. We have an important mission that makes a difference for others.

In the Disability Unit, 17 dedicated employees work with case management according to LSS, SoL, and housing adaptation grants. We work in two LSS teams – one for children and youth and one for adults. We also have case officers for housing adaptation grants and an administrative assistant.

Your Responsibilities

As an LSS case officer, you primarily work according to LSS, but also according to SoL. Your work involves holding investigation meetings with users and/or their representatives, both physically and digitally. You assess needs and make decisions based on laws, guidelines, routines, and practices. Additionally, you follow up on decisions made and work according to the method Individual Needs in Focus (IBIC).

An important part of the job is also to collaborate with other authorities and partners. You contribute to a good working environment and actively participate in the unit's development work. To succeed in the role, a legally secure, attentive, and professional approach with a focus on individual needs is required.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another relevant academic education with a focus on social law. A B driver's license is required for the position.

We see that you have experience in case management and authority exercise. You have experience with the target group. It is an advantage if you have worked with the IBIC method and have experience with the operational system Treserva.

In this role, you need to be structured, meticulous, and have excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing. You are confident in meetings, whether they are physical, digital, or via phone, and you build trust through your professionalism and personal maturity. You see collaboration as a natural part of the work.
