As a production planner with us, you will play a key role in planning, managing, and monitoring production at the sawmill in Malå. You will be responsible for balancing raw material availability with the capacity of the sawmill to ensure high delivery reliability, good resource efficiency, and a smooth production flow.

You will work closely with the raw material organization, sales, logistics, and production management to meet customer needs and create robust, flexible plans even when conditions change. The role also includes analyzing outcomes, monitoring key performance indicators, and contributing to improvements in planning processes and systems.

The position is a permanent employment with placement in Malå, and you will report to the site manager.

Your main responsibilities:

· Plan and manage the production flow for saw-dry-adjustment and planing

· Ensure effective planning in both the short and long term

· Manage situations regarding raw material deliveries, market demand, and machine availability

· Collaborate with various functions to balance customer requirements with production capacity

· Suggest and develop improvements in planning processes, routines, and systems

· Monitor production outcomes, analyze deviations, and report key performance indicators

We are looking for someone with a holistic view who understands the connections between raw materials, production, delivery, and customer needs.

Meritorious:

· Post-secondary education, for example in wood technology, production/logistics, or equivalent experience.

· Experience in production planning, preferably within sawmills or other process industries, and you thrive in an environment where conditions can change rapidly.

Personal qualities:

· Structured and used to creating order and routines

· Analytical with good problem-solving skills

· Flexible and enjoys a changing environment

· Communicative and easily collaborates with different functions

Qualifications:

· Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

· Good IT skills, especially in the Office suite

· Experience with planning systems/ERP is meritorious

· Understanding of workplace and safety requirements in an industrial environment
