As a security guard at Avarn Security, you have a vital societal role in protecting and monitoring security objects according to the Protection Act.

The role of a security guard is to monitor security objects and protect against sabotage, espionage, terrorist crimes, and serious robbery. A security guard has special powers to inspect vehicles, conduct body searches, seize items, deny access, and detain individuals at a security object. Security objects are operations that are crucial for society to function in peace, crisis, or war. Examples of security objects include a nuclear power plant, an airport, or a military facility.

Duration: We are looking for employees for need-based employment (6-month probationary employment applies)

Job responsibilities: As a security guard, you will work in many different environments with very varied tasks such as staffing entrance receptions, ensuring that no unauthorized persons have access to the security object, and patrolling. The positions apply to armed security guards.

Qualities we are looking for: You want to work in a safety-creating role and have a natural ability to combine service with a pronounced security mindset. You are meticulous and structured in your work approach as there may be some administrative tasks involved. We are looking for security-conscious and service-oriented employees with inner security, maturity, and a natural drive to help. Great emphasis is placed on communication and collaboration skills as this role involves a lot of contact with customers, contractors, colleagues, and visitors. Personal qualities are what determine the best fit for the role. We place great importance on your ability to work in a team but also expect you to independently identify problems and solve them. You have a positive attitude towards your work and the ability to spread positive energy in a team.

Requirements for applicants:

• In addition to the personal qualities we seek and describe in the various roles, you need to meet basic requirements to qualify for the position:

• at least 18 years old before starting the assignment
• high school diploma
• good Swedish in speech and writing
• driver's license B
• civil security guard training (or military security guard training, completed from 2020 or later)

You must also be unpunished, drug-free, have an orderly economy, and possess good health and physical fitness to be employed by Avarn Security.

Preferred qualifications:

• guard training (VU1 + VU2)
• weapon training
• previous experience in a service profession

To be employed by Avarn Security AB, you must be approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company, in accordance with the Act (1974:191) on security companies. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements according to the respective legislation, a background check will be conducted. This assessment includes legal compliance, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from you, from open sources, or from authorities. When assessing suitability for a position, we always apply a holistic assessment.

If you have completed security guard training during military basic training, it is also valid for civilian use. The training must have been completed in 2016 or later, and the training certificate must not be older than 5 years. If you have security guard training through the Armed Forces without military basic training, you need to complete a shortened security guard training to work as a civilian security guard.
